LATEST SUGGESTIONS FOR EXIT 12
Rahway is home to a colonial era landmark tavern, so something colonial, maybe brewed with molasses, could work.

I was having trouble figuring out what this beer should be, so I figure, since Carteret was an English explorer, it would be an English-style ale. Carteret was the first English person to discover NJ, thus he earned the right to be a braggart. And also, if you go the other way, you will hit Rahway, which is home to a prison. Now, Carteret is one of the southernmost points you will hear a New York accent (which has Boston style r drops, so thus braggart would sound like Braggot. Thus, we get EXIT 9 BIG HOUSE BRAGGOT

Carteret is and will always be a blue collar town. I grew up knowing there was a local bar on the nearest corner(almost). No Frills. A shot n beer type of place. Think pitchers of beer and pizza at the old bowling alley. That screams old school beer. Budweiser, Miller, etc. No frilly, fruity, beer for Carteret. Make a good Lager or a Pale Ale and I think you capture the town in a bottle.
